MLD attending CORD Conference 2024

MLD will be attending the Canadian Organization for Rare Disorders (CORD) Fall Conference November 26-27 in Montreal, QC. This conference highlights the rare disease research being done in Canada and this year is focusing on the development and implementation of the National Strategy for Drugs for Rare Disease (NSDRD). NSDRD has received funding by the federal government after many years of patient-led advocacy to fund a “common” list of rare disease drugs and improve equity across the country. There will be presentations from patient advocacy groups, Health Canada, service providers, and companies developing orphan drugs. This conference will provide a chance for MLD to learn from other Canadian researchers and how they are overcoming the unique challenges that go along with rare disease research and orphan drug development.

The CORD Conference not only provides the opportunity to learn from others in the rare disease space in Canada, but also a chance to network with potential investors. If you are interested in learning more about RCDP and our program, we would love to connect at the conference.
